On the Fitzherbert side of the development we have placed a sample of a Tiny Home which we are using as our Manager’s house constructed by the local building company Ōnoke Kōpuha. Three doors down on Fitzherbert Street you can look for the red flags where Maria will have the EasyBuild home open for a minimum of Wednesdays – Sundays 1-4 pm. EasyBuild is the major local building company for Stage 1.

Company Vision

The aim of the Brookside Developments is to create high amenity, affordable and sustainable lifestyle environments for 30 – 150+ families that integrate with and enhance the existing community.
Growing food, supporting social contacts, strengthening art and culture are also part of the vision for each of the villages.
Small and tiny houses 110-35m2 are the focus of the developments with shared facilities to minimise the private house size needed by the residents.

Productive food gardens are a distinctive feature of our vision and include espaliered fruit trees, linear herb and vegetable gardens along paths, permaculture, and food forests.
Other onsite features could include:  composting and recycling facilities, community BBQs, and public art.  The scope is only limited by the vision and energy of the residents and their friends.
